The number of alternates is fixed at 16:

4 each of faculty, exempt and non-exempt staff in Las Cruces (12)

2 of any employee type Community College Outside Las Cruces (2)

2 of any employee type Other Outside Las Cruces (2)

 

No more than two representatives per classification per area can represent one NMSU summary hiring org

Members up for re-election may not serve on the Elections Committee

In case of vacancies before term ends: Employee Council members will select, by secret ballot, an elected alternate representing the same area and classification, when feasible, to serve the remainder of that individuals term
